Day 92 (3 Mar 2023)

Writer: Foo Yoong HouFoo Yoong Hou

Today, I received the much-awaited documentation from Safetyware and decided to proceed with their CAAT test. However, as I went through the documentation, I noticed two major issues. Firstly, for the account receivable aging test, I required an additional document, i.e., the unpaid sales listing, which was only available for the sales invoices generated in 2022. As a result, I would need the balance brought forward from 2022 to perform the test accurately.

The second issue I faced was regarding the purchase 3-way match. Although I was able to find the matching key for both the purchase order and goods received notes, I couldn't match the documents back to the purchase invoice due to the unavailability of any matching key.

To address these issues, I contacted the finance person in charge, but she was unable to provide me with the required documentation. I then approached my senior for guidance, and he advised me to contact the IT person in charge to see if he could help. Following my senior's advice, I reached out to the IT person and explained the issues I was facing. He assured me that he could resolve the issues and requested I list the issues in an email to him.
