Today, I am in Penang for a fieldwork with COMPANY “M”. We carefully arranged this visit to ensure it aligns with the client's schedule and availability. Choosing the right date is crucial as the main person in charge must be present to ensure the audit work is effective. Therefore, we always strive to find a mutually agreeable date.
When arranging a fieldwork, we inform the client of our objectives and the activities we plan to carry out. If they disagree with the arrangement due to cost concerns or other reasons, we consult with our superiors for guidance.
In the case of COMPANY “M”, the client requested a change in the fieldwork date, which forced me to adjust my plans. After negotiating with the client, we agreed to delay the fieldwork by one day. As a result, my initial plan to conduct fieldwork for two companies on two consecutive days had to be modified. We will now be staying in Penang for three days, and on the second day, we will work from the hotel instead of traveling back to Kuala Lumpur.
Main thing that have learnt:
To learn how to arrange fieldwork date with client effectively
To understand that client might have different kind of concern, for example cost concern when dealing with fieldwork arrangement and we should then deal with it with professionalism

I can experience that arranging fieldwork with client is quite a challenging task especially if you are arranging two or more companies at the same time, from our side we hope to have all the fieldwork to be done within one week, however this is challenging as if either one of the companies is not agree with planning, hence it will affect the plan as whole.
