As usual, I entered the office early in the morning, and starting today, I plan to go back on time, this is because I have registered for the CPA program last weekend, and going back on time will allow me to have extra hours for study and preparation. The first task I did today is to continue the Elsoft ITGC, most of the previous year's evidence can be used but there are also newly added documents for this current year, so my task will be to go through the documents and label them accordingly, to do so I need to know the document is about what, most of the newly added documents are the screenshot that showed how many devices are connected to the antivirus software, so I will put these document under the section patch management and antivirus. Another newly given document is a screenshot of email communication to add a new user ID and to remove the resigned staff user ID, I then put it under access administration. I then completed the audit working paper and pass to Kar Enn.
Another task I am given is to update the Information Request List, like usual, as it is not a difficult task so I am able to complete it within a short time, however, for an employee adherence form, I noticed that the document client provided is just an empty form and without the details or the signature of employees, I then asked Ili for her advice and Ili told me under the remark section, mention it out to the client. Then for one of the four Penang- based companies I am in charge, the auditor asked me to follow up with the person in charge again and this time to CC the email to the CEO as well, I did what is requested and I am shocked that within a short time, I got the reply from him and we proceed to arrange the kick-off meeting according to his availability. Lastly, for Khum Fatt Engineering, since the last time, I requested additional documents from the side, and now I proceed to go through it and noticed that the opening balance is still not tallying then emailed again the person in charge to ask her to clarify for me what are the causes.
