Since yesterday Kar Enn has assigned me four Penang-based companies and has emailed me the email trail, so today I started to go through the email trail to know what is the current status of the four companies. Kar Enn told me that besides arranging kick-off meeting dates with the four companies' person in charge, there are two things I need to confirm, one is the CAATs, normally we will email a so-called CAATs document required list to the client, but to avoid double request, I need to first ask and confirm with the auditor to know whether they have also requested for the same documents or not, it they have requested, then there is no need for us to request anymore. Another thing is called an application test, if the company’s system is using the automated function to approve purchase orders or to approve sales over some credit limitation, then we might need to perform an additional test called an application test, but before that, we need to ask the client whether their system is using the mentioned functions.
I went through the email trail and also the planning documents of all four companies, I then jot down the current progress for all four companies in the below table.

-I have been told that the application test is a test that I have not encountered before even during training with Thao, so I need to learn this test before I start to conduct it with the client.
