Yesterday I completed the JV test for Tarumas Padu Sdn Bhd, today I will continue for the company Adient Automative Holding Bhd, the procedure I performed for this company is exactly the same as the one I prepared for Tarumas Padu Sdn Bhd, but Adient, I noticed that the closing balance of its trial balance is not equal to zero but for now nothing I can do for it except to proceed with the next step. In the end, after I proceed with IDEA tool, the result showed that there are a lot of variances, I doubled check all the previous steps to make sure the variance is not due to my own error, and I confirmed that it is not due to my error and what I did for the next is to put the variance aside and to discuss with Kar Enn after that.
Suddenly I received an email from a colleague coming from the Penang engagement team, in the email she asked whether I can share access to the meeting recording of Accurus, the Taiwan company where I performed the kick-off meeting, then I try to explore how to have it to be done for her, the reason why she can't access and download the video because I am the one that started to record so only me have the access and only me can share it, I then managed to explore how to share the video and how to allow it to be downloaded.
After that, today I booked a time with the HR colleague, the purpose is I am interested to join the firm-sponsored professional paper program and I want to know more about what kind of professional papers I can choose and what are the condition like study leave and so on, my HR colleague explained every detail and patiently to me on every professional paper programs and what are the most common questions and its respective answers.
Main things that have learned
-Complete GL test for Adient Automative
-Create a meeting link for the engagement team
-Consult on professional qualification program
Comment/idea/opinion
When we find out there is a variance for the CAATs we performed, we need to first make sure whether the variance is due to our own error or not.
