Today, we returned to Kuala Lumpur and focused on completing the audit working paper. During this fieldwork trip, I learned from my manager the crucial role that firewalls play in an organization's security measures.
Firewalls act as a protective barrier between a network and the internet, preventing unauthorized access to systems and data. They also help to prevent malicious traffic, such as viruses, worms, and other malware, from entering a network. As a vital part of any network security strategy, firewalls are essential in protecting against a wide range of threats, including hackers, viruses, and other types of malware.
While conducting the fieldwork, we discovered that the company, which plans to go for an initial public offering, lacked antivirus software. We will raise this as one of our audit findings.
Our main focus was completing the audit working paper and submitting it for review.
