Reching the office at first day, I met with my supervisor and also the assistant manager, Thao.
Thao look like a Chinese by looking at her name, I can know that she is a Vietnamese. Thao is a petite, wearing a spectacles and she does look fierce. After introduce myself to her, I then being assigned to sit behind her so that she is easy to teach and guide me for this upcoming week. Talking with her I can sense that she is a very serious person to her work but at the same time she can be very chil in other aspect beside working. To my surprise, she is also staying under the same building with me, what a coincident. Thao and I have made a very good partner, we tend to share about the foods, the environment and a lot more together. She taught me everything I need to learn during the first two weeks but what I enjoyed a lot is the time we both visiting the shopping mall, trying foods and talking nonsense.
Thao bought me to travel to several shopping malls, she showed me where can get good foods, where to take public transport and also share with me what she experience when she is working in Malaysia for almost five years. She is a very nice mentor, willing to share and talk a lot with me. She mentioned that she will be leaving and going to work in USA together with his husband, so it is sad to say that the time I can with Thao is short and soon she will be leaving. For the last two week she in Malaysia, her husband came to Malaysia and I have the opportunity to meet with him. Once, our manager Wei Xun, asked us for a dinner for her’s farewell, at this time, we share an enjoyable time and foods. Moreover, there was also one time, the last day Thao staying in Malaysia, together with her husband, we went to PJ area to try good food, then I accompanying them to buy durian, last we went to Mid Valley for windows shopping. That is the last day I met with Thao, I really appreciate what Thao have taught me, she taught me very details and very patiently, however, people come and people go, there will be a time we need to say goodbye to each othe, I hope that will be change I can meet with her again in future time, at her last day in office, I gave her a small gift and a thank you card for her.
